I am investigating, from a monostratal point of view,
i) the phenomena of "lexically triggered (unbounded) discontinuities (LTDs)": (English) tough- and comparative constructions, (Korean) light verb and concord adverbial constructions, etc.
ii) The efficiency of "Indexed Phrase Structure Grammar (IPSG)" frameworks (cf. Chae 1992), which are very effective in accounting for LTDs,
iii) The interrelationships of morphology and syntax, with special reference to (Korean) "dependent verbs" and such "little elements" as case markers, postpositions, delimiters and the like, and iv) the properties of complements (vs. adjuncts).
